Saregama and Humble Motion Pictures conducted the official press conference of their upcoming film “Shinda Shinda No Papa” in Chandigarh. The press conference was attended by Gippy Grewal, Hina Khan, Prince Kaawaljit, Director Amarpreet Chhabra and the other artists of the film.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of both Canada and India, ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’ follows the story of Gopi (played by Gippy Grewal), his wife (played by Hina Khan), and their spirited ten-year-old son, Shinda (Shinda Grewal). Faced with cultural challenges abroad, Gopi decides to take Shinda to India, hoping to instill traditional values through close-knit familial bonds. Shinda, who arrives in India, is taken aback by the tough love approach of Indian parenting, which inspires him to kickstart his own rebellious movement against the Indian families. “Shinda Shinda No Papa” is a heartfelt and humorous exploration of father-son dynamics, promising audiences a blend of laughter and heartfelt moments.
Gippy Grewal, is excited about the release of the film and shares “We wanted to make a film that entertains the entire family and we are glad we have been able to pull off the vision. I am really excited to play father to my real son Shinda and canโt wait for the audience to see our chemistry.”
Hina Khan, who makes her debut in Punjabi films says “I am thrilled to see the excitement towards the film. I donโt think I could have got a better film to make my debut in the Punjabi Film industry and a bigger star to be along with. While Gippyโs chemistry with Shinda is exciting, I am sure, Shindaโs chemistry with me will be loved by the audience.”
Director Amarpreet GS Chhabra expressed his enthusiasm, “The film promotions are in full swing and we are sure family audiences in large groups will come to the theatres to see the film. Our excitement is at its peak.”
The film is extensively being promoted in Punjabi, Delhi, Mumbai and overseas.
‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’ is slated for release in theatres on May 10, 2024.
